hey u guys i have a question... what's ghetto? i mean what does it stand for, cause i've always wondered and kinda never knew... i know it sounds stupid, but i figured "better ask now, than have an embarrassing moment later on" so yeah... just wonderin..

ok, it basically came from the ghettos the the Jews were forced to live in (streets squared off with barbed wire) before going to concentration camps in the 1940's.

yea i love alternative rock, hate screamooo crap and some country (no offense) and i like some hip hop r&b is okay.
umm, GHETTO, has a lot of meanings, like "the ghetto" are rundown neighborhoods, and its not necessarily intended for just black people. and ghetto is kinda like lowerclass (that pretty much generalizes everything else in that category) such as the baggy pants you mentioned...haha i think their also called THUGS, GANGSTERS, etc.. so yea.
